Duke- Out of the Tourney already?

Although I do admire Coach K, I am not a Duke fan. They are already out of the tournament which is hilarious. This video has already made rounds on youtube, googlevideo, collegehumor, facebook, and myspace. It's hilarious. Check it out.

Spring Break

As you may or may not know, spring break is almost upon those of us who are going to Lindenwood. It definitely comes at a time which is not nearly a moment too soon. My spring break plans consist of going to Laramie, Wyoming for a 5 or 6 day weekend and hanging out with my buddies there, which I am super stoked for. After that, my parents and I are driving to Tulsa, where my dad has a job that week. So I'll hang out in Tulsa for a few days with the rents. I plan on doing some riding of my bike, along with doing some sightseeing en route to Laramie and to Tulsa. What is everyone else planning for spring break?

Post-Graduation

I am planning on graduating from Lindenwood in spring of '08, with bachelor's degrees in Advertising and Mass Communications. After that, currently I am planning on going on to grad school to possibly persue an MBA or something of the sort. I have looked around at several schools, including, but not limited to: Lindenwood, Arkansas, Tennessee, Colorado, Colorado State, University of Wyoming, Boise State, Montana, and Montana State. I am looking to get back towards home, which is the reasoning for the last few schools named. I am far from making a decision, as there are several things to consider. I'll let you know about new developments

Scenic Wyoming Shots

Now for some of my own work. These pictures are not necessarily the best, as I don't have a great camera, but photography is something I love and would like to get better at.

Winter in Lander

This is a shot taken in December in my hometown of Lander, Wyoming.

Winter on Chambers Drive

This was taken in December right off of my front porch. It looks as if I will be doing some fencing this summer!

Government Draw

This is a shot of the 'moon rocks' located at Government Draw near Hudson, Wyoming (July 2004)

Popo Agie River

This is the beautiful Popo Agie River that runs through Sinks Canyon State Park near Lander, Wyoming. It is my favorite place on earth.

All of these photos, if I worked with them in photoshop, could be better, but they certainly are a start.

Jobs

As summer approaches, I have been looking for internship/employment oppertunities. Right now, I am planning on heading home to Wyoming, so I've mostly been looking there. The place I did my internship last summer, at a PBS TV station, wants me at times to do some contract work and go out with them on shoots and whatnot. That would be pretty cool. I will also be teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding, as I have done for years and years. Currently I am seeking a position at the local radio station, where I would be working for a man I really admire.

Double Major

In my world of academics, I have decided to add a magor to my undergraduate work at Lindenwood. In addiction to my Mass Communications degree, I will also be working towards a degree in Advertising. I'm excited about this move, although it will require two full semesters of course work on my part. I still will be slated to graduate in May '08.

Wyoming Photography

As far as new interests go for me, I have been excited about landscape photography, especially in my home state of Wyoming. Having only shot a few photos myself, I thought I would include links to websites of those who's work I admire.

Aspens in Tetons

Rocky Mountain Reflections Photography is possibly one of my favorites. They, as their name implies, focus their efforts on the Rocky Mountain Region, including Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. Although their site is a bit difficult to navagate, I find their work inspiring, and hope to do some similar shots when the time comes.

Tetons Panorama

James Kay Photography speciallizes more specifically in the western United States, but has a gallary specifically designated for the Rocky Mountian Region. I especially admire his panoramic work.
